Down the hill from the gîte, Lake Annecy spreads out its crystal-clear waters — the purest in Europe. Beaches, water sports, a cycle path: the Savoyard dolce vita, right on your doorstep.

Saint-Jorioz beach (10-15 min) — sand and grass, ideal for family swims

Water sports — paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing, sunrise wakeboarding, introductory diving

Voie Verte — a cycle path around the lake, almost entirely flat

Road, lake & trails

Cycling

Whether you're a climber, a leisurely rider, or a mountain biker, the playground is vast. The Bauges mountain passes are within easy reach, and the lake just 10 minutes downhill.

Road cycling — the Bauges passes, Col de Leschaux, Semnoz, a full lake loop. An exceptional playground for climbers.

Mountain biking — waymarked trails through the Bauges starting from the gîte, all levels, plenty of climbing guaranteed.

Family lake loop — the Voie Verte runs almost all the way around Lake Annecy, car-free and flat.

Cycle path to Annecy — ride from the lake into the old town without ever taking the road.
