How many people can the gîte sleep?

Up to 8 people. The gîte is rented as a whole: you have the barn to yourselves.

How are the bedrooms arranged?

The gîte has 4 double bedrooms. Each can be set up with a double bed or two single beds: let us know your preferred layout before you arrive.

How many bathrooms are there?

Two bathrooms with XL showers and two separate toilets. Towels and hairdryers are provided.

Are bed linen, towels and cleaning included?

Yes. Bed linen and towels are provided and end-of-stay cleaning is included in the price.

Is the kitchen equipped?

Fully: induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, XL fridge and freezer, coffee machine, kettle, raclette and fondue set, and full tableware for 8.

Is there wifi?

Yes, throughout the gîte, with a 200 Mbps internet connection: enough for back-to-back video calls and several people working remotely.

Is the gîte heated in winter?

Yes, with underfloor heating throughout.

Is there an outdoor space?

A garden shared with a fellow resident of the farm, with a picnic table and parasol, and a terrace facing the mountains.

Where can I park?

Covered parking is available on site.

Check-in from 3 pm, check-out by 11 am.

Are pets allowed?

No, pets are not allowed at the gîte.

Is the gîte suitable for children and babies?

Yes. Children are welcome and baby equipment (cot, high chair) is available on request.

Can we hold a party?

No. The gîte is part of a lived-in former farm in a quiet spot: parties and noisy events are not allowed.

Can we order meals?

Yes. The Fromagerie de la Cochette, just opposite, prepares raclette or fondue baskets with village produce to order. Order when booking or a few days before you arrive.

Can we do yoga at the gîte?

Yes. Sophie, a certified yoga teacher (Hatha, Vinyasa, trained in the de Gasquet perinatal method), offers private or group sessions on request, indoors or outdoors.

Does the gîte host seminars?

Yes: up to 12 people for day sessions and 8 residential, with a large screen, flipcharts and a 200 Mbps connection. See our off-site seminar page.

Where is the gîte?

In the hamlet of Le Cruet, 29 route du Cruet, 74410 Saint-Eustache (Haute-Savoie), at 752 m, on the west shore of Lake Annecy, in the Bauges Regional Nature Park.

How far is Lake Annecy?

Saint-Jorioz beach is a 10-minute drive. Central Annecy is about 30 minutes away.

Do I need a car?

Yes, it is strongly recommended: there is no direct bus to the hamlet. Annecy railway station is about 30 minutes away, Geneva airport about 1 hour and Chambéry about 55 minutes.

Where can we ski near the gîte?

Le Semnoz ski area is about 25 minutes away and Aillons-Margériaz about 40 minutes.
